On the New Year's Eve, the ballet «The Nutcracker» was held in the capital with the participation of the troupe of the National Ballet of Italy and soloists of the London Covent Garden Theater. Now the ballet dancers are touring Almaty. The «24KZ» film crew visited both the performance in the Almaty theater and captured the training at the Kazakh National Academy of Choreography.
This is actually the first rehearsal of the children of the Academy of Choreography with ballet dancers from Italy. Soon they will perform the most anticipated New Year's performance, «The Nutcracker», on the same stage.
In addition to the National Ballet of Italy, children are looking forward to sharing the stage with ballet stars from the Covent Garden Theater itself. The virtuoso prima ballerina Fumi Kaneko arrived straight from London on tour.
Fumi Kaneko, prima ballerina of the Covent Garden Theater:
- Definitely, this is not an easy ballet. Especially the pas de deux, that is, our joint dance in the finale. A lot depends on the ballerina. I would say it is very difficult, but it is at this moment that I enjoy the dance and the stage itself. Fumi’s partner will also surprise the audience.
Spectacular, light and accurate Vadim Mutragirov in the role of the prince.
Vadim Muntagirov, ballet dancer, premier of the Covent Garden Theater:
- It seems to me that in general it is very difficult to dance princes in ballet. Because you need to show ease. That is, it is always difficult. We go into the studio and rehearse for months, sometimes even years, to show this ease. Fumi and I didn't dance very much. In Kazakhstan, we have the opportunity to dance five performances at once. In London we dance maybe 3-4 performances a year. If we get lucky. Therefore, it is very pleasant for us to dance together and we help each other. I became a presenter a little earlier than Fumi.
Nurlan Konokbaev organized the performance of students of the National Academy of Choreography and ballet dancers from Italy and Great Britain.
Nurlan Konokbaev, organizer of ballet tours:
- Yes, I myself am a former ballet dancer and I understand that literally today at 8:00 they arrived in Astana. They met for the first time, one might say they were connecting, but this is professionalism.
The parallel between music and choreography creates a wonderful unity and emphasizes the importance of each movement, filling the hall with a festive atmosphere and emotional depth.
